Santa and Satan

One of the main reasons the young have been for years leaving Christianity is the love of Santa Clause. He has been seen as the one to give children good things. Toys, candy and such. We teach children to be good because Santa knows if they have been good or bad. Children are taught that Santa comes down from the sky in his sleigh laden with presents for all the good little boys and girls. In this way Satan has been using Santa Clause to replace Jesus as the God of this world. Satan has also been teaching that money is the way to worship the Christmas season. Seeing television and newspaper adds advertising high cost items such as cars, boats, massive televisions, etc. all have Santa hawking these items. This evil has also invaded the Churches. Jesus once overturned the tables of the money changers in the temple proclaiming they had turned His Fathers House into a den of thieves. This applies very much today!

Contrast the above sentence “He has been seen as the one to give children good things” with James 1:17 to see the problem “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Notice also the sentence “We teach children to be good because Santa knows if they have been good or bad” Santa knows nothing, God knows when we are good or bad (sin). See Numbers 32:23b “ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.”

The sentence part “Santa comes down from the sky” is wrong. Again reading James 1:17a it says “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.” And certainly not in a sleigh!

Letting Santa Clause into your home with access to your children is in my opinion the worse kind of child abuse yet, it happens every Christmas. We have indeed taken Christ out of Christmas. It’s a shame.
